A note from the CEO
I would like to begin by thanking all the essential workers who have been helping during this COVID-19 pandemic. Because of you many of us are able to work comfortably from our homes. For this I am beyond grateful and want you to know we are praying for your safety. We continue to pray for those who have experienced loss, suffering and significant challenges during this time. This pandemic reminds us of what truly is important, and we know the importance of having trusted partners in a time of crisis. We are working very diligently to find innovative ways to continue being engaged and serving our communities during these perilous times. Also, I am beyond excited to announce that we are blessed to be a recipient of the first round of funds from the Coronavirus Response Fund, hosted by the United Way and the Community Foundation.
Our mission is to “help reduce the burden of cancer in the communities we serve, we are neighbors helping neighbors” and truly our neighbors have stepped up. We provide outreach, education, advocacy, screenings and navigation for cancer services. Through our “Neighbors Helping Neighbors Cancer Assistance fund, these funds will help cancer patients who are in active treatment (chemo or radiation) and have been affected by COVID-19, with their mortgage/rent or utilities assistance. If your household has been impacted whether reduced hours, loss of income or your healthcare provider has limited your work, etc. we encourage you to apply. If there is a need in our community we want to provide the assistance that is needed. To apply please click http://bit.ly/CoronavirusEmergencyCancerFund
